Moving; help!

Hey everyone! My first ever post.

I’m very new to the peer Assistance program, we are planning to move to a different state next year (short term 3ish years). Has anyone done this, if so what are your experiences? Did you have to start your “time” over once you got to the new state? Did you have to request license in said state? Were you able to work once you were moved?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome Lynn!!

How new exactly are you to all of this? The first thing would be check with your state your in now and ask. Also check with your new state. One of friends did this to get back with family in Maryland. She had a little bit of time and Arizona liked the idea. Turned out all she had to do was follow whatever Arizona has for her m !

Welcome again and good luck!

New as in I go and sign my contract on Tuesday! Very very new, just trying to proactive and get as much info as possible!!

I asked at my initial meeting, and they said people have done it (switched states), but that was about it.

Thanks for the comment!

Make sure you keep all your documentation. Keep copies of everything for the next BON. Also in MD its a 5 year contract, in AZ it was only 3 like yours. MD didn't add any years on the contract. Just FYI that its worth looking into. You got this!
