Moving to Florida

Hello all,

I am a new graduate nurse and looking into moving to Florida. I am interested in the Melbourne, Port St. Lucie and West Palm Beach area. I have been doing some research on the different hospitals in the area but there are so many! I am just looking for an insiders perspective on what some good hospitals are in the area. If anyone has any recommendations on what is good and what is not so good I would really appreciate it! I'm willing to work any department but I am especially interested in ER, pediatrics and med surg.

Thanks!

Hey there

I just wanted to say hello and wish you luck. I'm sorry I'm not replying with the info you need just wanted to say hello and tell you your not alone in your search. I am relocating to FL from WI and looking for opinions on good and bad places to work. If you do get any responses and someone seems to have any opinions, could you send them my way? I can do the same for you if you would like. I am looking in the Sarasota, St Pete, Cape coral area. This website seems a little hard to get a response from:(

Again good luck

I am originally from the Melbourne area and know of several hospitals that hire new grad nurses - Viera Hospital, Viera, FL (fairly new hospital - opened about 2.5 years ago), Wuesthoff Medical Center (2 locations Rockledge and Melbourne) and Holmes Regional, Melbourne. Good luck!
