Moving to Baltimore, MD

Hello everyone,

I'm moving to Baltimore for a job located about 15-20 from downtown, but I would like to find a safe area in Baltimore city close to Inner Harbor. I do not have kids, so school wont be a problem for me. I'm more worry about safety and cost of living.

Thanks a lot for your input!

There are several hip and relatively safe inner city neighborhoods but none that I am aware of are inexpensive. My guess is unless you are willing to live in a studio you might need roommates. My favorites are Federal Hill and Locust Point. On the other side of the harbor Fells Point and Canton are also popular. Hopefully others will write in if I'm missing something.

Thank very much for the info Jules. I am looking for a studio, so that might be a solution for me.

Thanks again!
