Howzit and Aloha, Hawaii Nurses! I am finally returning back to the islands after 8 years of military services. Can anyone tell me what the full-time pay is for your hospital (Queens, Kapiolani, Kaiser, Kuakini, etc.)? How about shift differentials, weekends, benefits, etc. I'm sure because of the Hawaii Nurses Association, they are all quite similar. Mahalo for your response.

Queen's starting pay is about $29. but with experience you probably will be paid much more but it is hard to get your foot in the door at queen's.

I am not too sure about the other hospitals.

LOL---all you have to do to "get your foot in the door at Queens" is, well, GET YOUR FOOT IN THE DOOR. They are desperate for nurses. They are now using tons of travel nurses and agency nurses because they can't get permanent staff. Curious---where did you get your info from??

This is the salary scale at Queens:
