I am with the elope. Got to Vegas or somewhere and get married. If family or friends want to come they can. Plus, it will be a great get-away before school starts!! CONGRATS ON BOTH & GOODLUCK. Marriage is great if it is to the right person, and unless you are deadset on a big wedding-they are a pain!! Stress you don't need right now. We had a small backyard-family wedding and have never regretted it. You can always renew your vows with a big wedding bash.

My wife and I had a small, simple wedding and as much fun as it was, it was a lot of work to plan and prepare for. I can't even imagine how difficult it would be to plan a wedding while in CRNA school! The rigors of school will be hard on you and you fiance, the added stress of planning a wedding is a bit much and there will be little or no time for a honeymoon! I don't think your finace would appreciate you pulling out your anesthesia textbook to study for an up coming exam while on a romantic getaway. One more vote for eloping here! Go to Hawaii, they will plan everything for you. You just show up, get married and enjoy yourself. It's quick and easy and just as much fun! IMO.

Elope or plan something really quickly! Luckily mid-terms are the week before spring break, so I'm getting hitched and then heading off for the honeymoon. We're only doing a small wedding with about 20 people. I sacrificed the vast majority of my winter break to help my fiancé plan everything, and I couldn't imagine the stess of anything larger. Do yourself a favor and knock it out asap. Congratulations on the acceptance, and enjoy your last several months of freedom.

I would agree that you should elope. If you really want a big wedding, then you can have it later, then it will really be BIG!!!!!!!!

If you want a big wedding... I would plan it for 2 years from now. Whats the rush anyway? I think your first year in school will be the most grueling but then after that, you could really start planning it... and hopefully they have a 'spouses night' in your curriculum so that he may have a bird's eye view into what you will be going through. I hear and know first hand that this curriculum can truly test a marriage or any relationship. Good luck to you!
