9 months into work here is the scoop!

well, i am already 9 months into being an rn on a surgical peds floor and so far it's going well.

i can't say that everything has been perfect-- i have made my mistakes a long the way but i have learned a lot.

i know i am not an expert, but i have the 3 new nurses on the floor ask me questions about things (and if i know i tell them, if not they ask someone else).... and of course i ask them questions too!!

4 new nurses there including me, and we have a little bond together :0)

working nights is extremely hard, its tiring specially when you have a family to take care of, and you have to have a day life and your night life becomes work.

i make sure that i have a little fun too--- not too often do we get to go out, but once in a while i have to go out with my husband on a date.

anyways, my advice to anyone who is just starting is to hang in there, and things get better and your confidence will be on the floor at first but as each shift goes by it does go up and up!!
