Dianah Abbnurse and Rose Queen, this will be an adult black cat from a local shelter, one of 2, both shorthair. Both have been there some time, quieter cats so they don't draw as much attention as the others

Yesterday did manage to get outside to do a little birdwatching, although had to wear a mask given the air quality. Mosquitoes were not quite as bad, think the new repellent helped. Did the crock pot recipe and ran a few errands, but other than than it was a quiet day

Today should be pretty ordinary, nothing unusual going on at work. Have a Zoom meeting of the events committee of the gay group tonight

Air quality still an issue today, weather a bit cooler than it as been, mid 80s

Good morning. It looks to be a lovely day, other than a bit of haze due to wildfires east of here. It's certainly not as bad as the east side of the country, and we've had much worse in the past. It's going to get in the high 80s here, ugh.

Our kitchen faucet has been not working right, so yesterday I crawled into the cabinet and realized a clamp that had been holding it in place was rusted and broken. It didn't appear fixable so off we went to Lowes. I opted one that can turn on with touching it, figuring that would be nice when both hands are icky. Except for a little help from ds tightening a bolt, I was able to remove the old faucet and install the new one. And with dh's advise, I fixed a minor leak in the pea trap.

Today, I need to do a good job vacuuming. We use fans to cool the house and it has gotten so dusty in here! While dh is gone, I am going to sneak some junk into the garbage. He keeps thinking that we should donate stuff that no one would want, like worn, stained clothes or broken down shoes. And I am going to take some books to the little libraries around town. He never wants to part with a book. I think books are to share!
