I had a similar situation with my A&P II grade this mid-term - I was 2% below the 70 I needed to be passing, mainly due to a rather nasty run-up with depression. I talked to the professor, and this is what he told me:

"Don't give up on me now. All this means is you need a 72% to be passing, and any extra above that you can manage is padding on the grade. You can do it."

And that's my advice to you! You can do it. Don't stress yourself out too badly; stress makes you strung out and forgetful, and makes things worse. Take the lesson from the test and study, concentrate on things you don't know, and remember to take a break and some time for yourself! Don't cram right before the exam, but do study well and good leading up to it. The night before, take the night off and relax. Hit the sheets early and pummel that test the next day with your well-rested, know-it-all self!

You can do it! :balloons:

Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I'm an LPN and supposed to graduate with my RN in May. To pass third semester (it's over in 2 1/2 weeks) I have to have a 76%. Well, after my DISASTER of a test last week, I'm sitting at a 74% right now. I do have one more test and a final to try and pull it up, but I've heard the final is a nightmare, so I'm scared to death. I don't want to have all my hard work go down the drain and I especially don't want to do 3rd semester over!!!! I'm right there with ya...hang in there. :bugeyes:

The joys of nursing school, always in the back of your mind is "I could still fail", keeps you in a state of anxiety!!!!!!!!! :bugeyes:

There is a sort of bonus to it though, really - a certain amount of anxiety is actually helpful! I mean, being stressed out and crazy with panic level anxiety isn't so good (as it mentally crashes you out), but a small amount of it helps you concentrate and is actually a study aid and focuser. Make the stress work for you! :twocents:

Here's an inspirational poem that I have to share with you...

Don't You Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a fellow turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow

You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than

It seems to a faint and faltering man;

Often the struggler has given up

When he might have captured the victor's cup;

And he learned too late when the night came down,

How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out

The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It might be near when it seems afar;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit

It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Good luck in school!
