Midwestern CRNA 2022

I created this forum for nurses applying to Midwestern University's CRNA program starting in 2022.

Let's do this!

Does anyone know when they start reaching out for interviews??

After 5 years of reading these posts, how WILD I'm participating in this round! I also applied to Midwestern, turned everything in and all transcripts mailed a few days ago, and love the CRNA prep Academy resources. Reading through previous threads it looks like they review apps late August, interview September-October and acceptances go out first week of November. Where else are y'all applying?

I applied to Midwestern too! The application is so easy, no recommendations, no GRE. No wonder they have one of the largest applicant pool. Must be tougher to get in but if it's meant to be, it will happen!

Good luck to everyone and let's keep one another posted!

Do they take applications directly or do you apply through nursingcas?

Good luck to you all! This is my second year applying to MWU. Last year I needed to beef up my science GPA and did so now here we go! @flightRN92 thank you for creating the feed. The waiting game can be rather lonely so it is great to hear that I am not alone. I finished my application in May and have not heard anything yet. By the sounds of it we may be in for a couple more weeks of waiting.

I hear you! Waiting is the hardest thing and we’re all buckled in for months of it ahead ? did you interview last year, and are you an AZ local? It looks like AZ is very CRNA friendly and I’d love the traveling clinical sites!

I am from Colorado but have family in AZ. I did not interview last year but good friend/co-worker of mine just started at MWU last month. He seemed really excited about the different clinical sites. I try to reserve my excitement, as it makes the waiting time go much slower...HA!

Also,  I did interview with a different school last year though.

Nice! I’m a CU Denver grad, loveeee it out there. I’m actually going back to Denver for my next contract, can’t wait to get back out west. I’m all ears for interview tips, this is my first application cycle!

Going to work with UCH? My interview last year was all personal questions. Nothing on medications, processes, or devices. But I thought it went fairly well. It was nerve racking a bit but once you go going it wasn't bad at all.

Maybe! I just submitted for a couple of travel contracts out there, we’ll see where they end up! That’s so interesting, I definitely have many practice hours ahead of me for this cycle. Where did you interview last cycle? Also I wonder if I ever worked with you, I was a tech out in Denver before graduating LOL

Hey all! I finally bit the bullet and applied to MWU as well. I applied back in May and anxiously waiting. My friend had started there in June and I have not reached out to him yet to see how he likes it, but from all the years I have read the posts on here it seems like it is a really well rounded program.

That’s awesome! I welcome to the anxiously waiting squad haha. I agree I’ve heard good things about faculty support and quality of rotations. Honestly I’m excited to travel for clinicals if given the opportunity!
