Micro Study tips

Published

I need some study tips for Micro. I so wish I could have taken this class in the fall, but being that I wail start NS, it would have been too much for me.

I have an exam on Monday over chapters 1-6 and it consist of 60 multiple choice questions each worth one point a piece. The prof. also gave us six essay questions and we need to know each answer because he will pick two of the questions. Those are worth 20 points a piece. As far as the multiple choice questions go, the prof. told us that as long as we memorize all the definitions (250 of them) plus the answers to all the questions in the back of the book, then we would be fine. I don't think I can memorize all that by Monday. Any tips??

Is there a Cd or website for your book ? Check in the first few pages of the text for a website. You can also check the internet, looking under the publishers name, then subject - then the cover should show. If you find a website, have a look at the different editions, sometimes the format changes, giving you more self-assesment options. I made my own neumonics, anything to help me remember all of the huge amount of info for Micro.

For the Labs, I printed in color, picked one or 2 defining characteristics - and concentrated on those.

At least after the first test, at least you will know what to expect.

I carried my notes everywhere, that 10 or 15 minute bits add up.
