Hey ! I like it so far. It's been manageable but I had to change shifts for the next semester's. I was doing 8/5 with a horrific commute of over 2 hours & a kid, LOL. I wasn't getting any quality study time, which you will need in order to pass your classes. There's minimal instructional material from the professors. They do short clips but it's all on you to read & digest the material before a test. The tests are not hard but shifting my mindset to provider vs RN role has been a little hard for me.

I've been a nurse for almost 8 years now, worked in the OR and GI, currently serving as a specialty nurse senior in gastroenterology. My GPA was 3.4 I'm a 305 girl too ? best of luck to you. Which program are you considering

Thanks for your input & advice. Kindly, I think you may be a little mistaken. UWF has been offering the FNP program since 2019. It's nationally ranked as US&News #65 best online NP programs and has great passing rates, though I cannot recall off the top of my head. It's no Ivy League but seems better than a degree mill program & plenty of other schools. The fact that FAMU has an accreditation with stipulations is the red flag ? , in my humble opinion. Ultimately I moved forward with UWF & will start in Summer. Hi thanks for your input! I've been accepted to both FAMU's AGNP and University of West Florida's FNP program. Has anyone out there attended either one? I'd love to hear any input you may have? The online, student led format doesn't scare me. I'm more concerned with pass rates and the overall quality of the program. Would love to hear from your experience. Thanks !

I recently completed my application and am waiting for a final decision. Applying was pretty standard & I was corresponding with an admissions counselor often , that was helpful & smooth.

well, in barry, the prerequisits are like 70+ credits, and tuition is $13,600 i was accepted. however, i am seriously considering NOVA now...though Barry is a pretty good nursing school the prerequisits are insane...Good luck

i'm finishing up the prerequisites for NOVA. it would be easier to get accepted with an adn (you'd be ahead of the game), you would just have to bridge into the bsn.

"[ive been on thier website so many times and never saw anything about a waiting list :x do you still know if theres a waiting list. im nervous! i really wanna get in and continue to their RN school. thanks]" of course they are not going to tell you on their website that they have a long waiting list, i called. i wanted to start this august, but the lady told me they would be no openings until 2011, anyways everything happens for a reason. why dont you go to a university, its better in the long run. if you go the lpn route you would have to do lpn, then lpn to rn(adn), and then rn(adn) to bsn. i want to b a crna so i decided to do my bsn in a university, if you think about it, it actually might take you less time. oK, my plan is to be a crna. im about to graduate HIGH SCOOL...i know i have a long way to go. i know i must become a nurse (preferably a bsn) and then go to crna school...however im trying to cut time and money so i was considering the lpn or adn route. which would do you recomend? which one would get me to a bsn school faster (i would bridge into a bsn) also, please would you care to elaborate on what an ADN is and what opportunities do they have. is it true that when you take the adn exam,and pass it, you are considered an rn? (then i would just have to do rn-bsn?) THANK YOU GOD BLESS
