Does anyone know what we are supposed to do about registration???? Are they going to automatically register for classes and if so are they going to tell us how much it will cost before orientation since out tuition fee is due then???? My friend who is currently in the BSN program said her first semester was around 3300.00 dollars for just tuition alone. She said it was another 900.00 dollars for books, uniforms, supplies, etc... I am freaking out because I don't know how I am going to come up with all of that in such a short amount of time. I don't really qualify for financial aid because my parents claim me on their taxes and they make too much money for me to get any subsidized loans. Ive had a private loan in the past but the interest rates are so incredibly high that my mom would just rather put stuff on a credit card because the interest rates are lower. If anyone knows anything about when we will be finding out things about our schedule and registration let me know...or if you have any advice!!!! I am soooo excited to meet everyone and I hope everyone does well with all of their finals and has a wonderful christmas break!!! Oh and I hope Yall all enjoyed the SNOW today!!!! :heartbeatAlana

ITS BEEN A WHILE!!!! I had my interview on Friday and it went very well...I had an interesting day leading up to the interview. I went to check my email to write down the address and saw that I had an email from UTHSC...I shouldnt have opened it BUT i did and sadly it was a rejection email!!!! what ever happen to mailing letters!!!!???? anyways i had to kind of brush it off because I was literally about to be out of the door for my interview at UTMB. When i got to the SON everyone was sooooo nice!!!! I got there like 45 minutes early and they saw me right then...it was a total 180 from the experience I had at the interview at UTHSC...for those who also had interviews there...you know what I am talking about. The women who interviewed me was a part time teacher who was kind of helping out and I was her FIRST nursing school interview...EVER!!!! She was very very nice though and wrote down sooooo much and at the end of the interview she told me that she hoped that I get into the program!!!! All in all it was a pretty good day and a good interview....I feel much better about then when I interviewed at UTHSC....UTMB was just much more personable!!!! thanks to all you guys who stood up for my post a while back!!!! i am very frustrated and had no idea about the rude comments made afterwards until now. i would just like to take a second to defend myself here!!! i am extremely frustrated because why on earth would you make a deadline that is an entire month before other schools if you were not going to get back to us sooner. and yes i hope i don't have an interview on the 6th because i do have to work and i work at a hospital as a nurse tech and its not that easy to just say hey i cant work this friday. i would love to go to utmb so no i dont plan on retracting my application...they are my first choice school and i just think it is ridiculous that they are taking this long to get back to me when i am going to find out about an acceptance in a few weeks from another school. i mean do they honestly expect us to just pull everything together in 1 month???? ive been in nursing school before and things dont usually work that way!!! so my apologies for expressing my opinion...i will never use my right to free speech on this site again. and thanks again for those who stuck up for me!!!!! :heartbeat:d:redbeathe

pretty darn frustrated with utmb at this point. i can not believe it has taken them 3 months to decide on interviews when uthsc sent out there interview invites within the week of the app deadline!!!!! i shoould know whether or not i got on by november 15 and it sounds to me like i will know that before an interview ever happens. and also how can they give us such short notice...i hope i dont get one scheduled for the 6th cause i have to work!!!!!!!!!!! gotta pay my bills!!!!!!!!!!! im just sooooo over it...at this point i dont even know if iwanna go to school here....soooooo unorganized.....and from what i hear from students that came to my hospital for clinicals....it doesnt get much better once youre in the program either.....uuuuhggggg. sorry for my ranting its just that this has become a bit ridiculous....get you **** together utmb!!!!!!!!!

I think that it went pretty well I was the very last person they interviewed out of a group of 21 so that was the bad part but I hues it went well cause as I was leaving the woman who interviewed me said that I was really the only person who knew what a nurse does ! I think she liked the fact that I am currently working in the nursing field!!

hello everyone!!!! i have been reading this forum for a while and have found alot of things very very very helpful!!! i have decided to join because like many of you bsn generic applicants i am very frustrated with this delay in interviews:banghead:. i also applied to uthsc and also recieved an interview and already went to my interview...and their deadline was a month after utmb's...i just dont get it. anyways i would like to say congrats to all of those who got interviews with the bacc2 program!!!! i can only imangine how excited you all are. utmb was my first choice but with this delay i am wondering if they should be my second!!! well i just wanted to introduce myself and wish everyone good luck!!!!! :loveya::redbeathe:d alana
