  1. Congratulations! I will be in the night/we program in chesco. also. I was so happy to find out before christmas. Are you ready to not have a life? I work days, so looking at the schedule, i won't be seeing my kids a lot for 2 years. But at least we have summers off. Do you know anyone else who will be in the program?
  2. Congratulations!!!!! :yeah: WOW!!! What a great weekend surprise! I was so tired of waiting. Where are you taking the math for nurses? I was going to try to study the book and test out of it at the spring meeting. (Guess I should buy the book) I am currently taking A & P. This will be great! Of course, I can't wait to not have a life starting next fall for 2 years!!! Okay - that is 3 of us? Do you know anyone else who applied or got in? Way to go!!
  3. I just received my acceptance letter today for Fall 2010 night/weekend chester county. The letter states I need to reply by January 15 or my place will be given up. No money necessary until may 1. I hope you got in too!!!!!:yeah::yeah:
  4. I guess the average scores are so low since everyone takes the NET several times - my first time i got 98 on the math but 64 on reading, since i took too long and ran out of time - not even finishing - my computer locked up for a minute also - very frustrating. I work with a gal whose friend couldn't even get a passing grade on the NET - so those scores lower the average. I hope we find out before christmas - this waiting is driving me crazy. the day program would be great , b ut i have to work - i am wondering how i am going to work days, school at night and practicals on the weekend - i will never see my kids - but it is only for 4 semesters - i have all the required courses done. i hope you get in!!! I think they like to scare us into taking t he test multiple times. And of c ourse spending $35 on their NET book. I know people who go to CAT Brandywine - get their LPN then get their RN online. Hang in there! It will be worth it.
  5. Hi, All I know is when I took the NET test I was told they had a record number of applicants (but i believe they meant the entire program, not just Chesco. I believe there are only 32 seats for the night/weekend program, so the 32 top NET grades get in! Did you apply for just chester co. Night/weekend? That is what I did. At the info session last spring they talked about trying to inform us before christmas, but that was before Eli left, so I am not sure if they have someone running things in his place in a timely manner. I got a letter saying they received my application and i should hear by end of january. I know last year people were contacted the week before christmas. Good luck!!!
  6. Hi, I just received a letter from DCCC confirming my application was received. How annoying! I was so excited at first, then really laughed at the part that emphasized "this is not an acceptance to nursing program". I am glad everything complete, though. I made sure i got a return email that they received my high school transcript, since they had no record of it from years ago. I hope we find out before christmas, even though they say by end of january. Now I know how my daughter felt when she was applying to colleges!!:paw: Hang in there! This is the fun part - wait until next fall when we are working, going to class 3 nights and waking up at 5:30 am for practicals!!!! HELP!!!
  7. Hi, I am taking A&P online through Immaculata. I love online. I can do my work any time. It will be tough to go to school 3 nights a week next year. I am going to go crazy until we hear; I don't have a backup plan - plus I can't afford to wait another year. How do you like the A&P - i was originally signed up for that class until i found the online one. Do you know anyone else who has applied for fall 2010?
  8. It didn't seem like there were many applicants for chesco/evening program when I submitted my application - i think it was october 28 - i think there were less than 50 at that time - no one gave me a timeline for when we would be notified - and i don't know anyone who has applied i am an older student - and it has been many years since i had bio ( i am taking A&P now) so i would not be able to do well on the TEAS w/o a lot of prep work - plus i don't have the time to wait. Do you know anyone who has applied? are you working in the medical field now? Good luck!!
  9. Hi, I applied for fall 2010 chester co. nite/eve. program - composite was 94 - i haven't heard of anyone who has a higher composite - i am hoping to hear before christmas or i will go crazy wondering - what did you get? I wish there was more considered than this one test - my DCCC gpa is great! I have taken everything except the nursing classes so far. i also would like to test out of the math for nurses and save some time & money. let me know!!
  10. Matt, I am worried about getting accepted for fall 2010. I got a 94 composite - but am told there is record number of applicants this year. I have all my prerequisites done except A&P, which I am taking now. Are you day or evening? And how are you doing? Do you enjoy it? Thanks for the info and good luck!
  11. I probably will just go with my composite and apply next week. I can't afford to take another day off. If 94 does not get me in - i don't belong there!!! as for immaculata A&P - the online class is great. I only have to go to class on test nights - even the tests are online - as well as the lab parts - it is basically independent study - which works for me - the book was expensive, as is the tuition, but I am hoping for tuition reimbursement from my employer - as long as I keep my A. Good luck - hopefully i will see you next fall - let me know how you make out. I can't imagine a score in the 90's not making it. Good luck,
  12. I am applying for fall 2010 evening in chester county - i got a composite score of 94 (100 math; 88 reading) i am getting nervous that this will not be enough as I am told there are record number of applicants this year - i really can't see getting a better score if i took it again in october, do you get any feedback on scores for this year. also, how do you like A & P at DCCC - i almost took that class, but am taking it at immaculata online instead.
