  1. Hello everyone, I applied to fall 2014 Adult-Gero program, I got accepted. Is there someone else out there who applied for the same program the distance learning? I would like to get in touch with someone. Looking forward to start this program!
  2. I applied to the summer 2015 FNP track. We shall see!
  3. Yes they do, they love new grads. That's where I got my first job as a nurse two years ago.
  4. You did the right thing I am not a nurse I am just a nursing student. But, I have worked with kids/the school board for a couple of years now. In the state of Florida it is illegal to deny a child food and it can not be use as a form of punishment. I would like to believe that this law applies to every state.
  5. Lol I thought I read the same thing too,I was thinking that is not very much at all
  6. Just the required classes
  7. Hello, sorry for taking such a very long time to reply to the thread i was studying really hard for finals but it’s over thank God. @ apotter About the school having people from out of state, we actually have a couple of those in our nursing program. As far as financial aid is concerned I mean whatever money I got from it was able to cover my tuition/ buy books and I still had leftovers (hope I answered your question, if not just write me in my inbox and I’ll send you my phone number). Regarding the notification about getting accepted into the school you do find out at the last minute. My gpa was a 3.5 @ giggles as far as the African American history class I never took it because I had all my 60 credits from bcc so it was waived. I took all the pre-reqs that were required English (I and II), chemistry for health sciences and the lab, microbiology and the lab, psy, anatomy 1&2 w/lab, sociology, nutrition, 2 electives, wellness, development psyc, speech, statistics, and college algebra. As far as the deadline for spring 2010 is concerned I honestly don’t know when that is.
  8. Honestly, I really don't know how they calculate your grades. if you are going to transfer lets just say you are going to need all the 60 credits. I think that you are good to apply.
  9. Hey RN@2, Well thank you. One you get accepted, you don't have to go to an interview that's it. You don't have to have all your classes done but, if you still have classes left to take just make sure that when you are applying you are currently take those classes. If they are pre-reqs that you need you need have them done already or at least getting them done. I don't remember taking organic chemistry but I did take chemistry for health sciences so that other chemistry is not a requirement. My gpa was a 3.54
  10. I private messaged you and I emailed you.
  11. I got accepted and yes it was two week b4 this weekend (I am moving this weekend). Are you still in Tallahassee? I might need some guidance from you, I am going to write you a message in your inbox with my cell number that way we could communicate faster.
  12. Wow people here can be so mean/rude at time. Well, based on what I have been reading in those threads especially the student ones its safe to say that half of you seem to only care about people who already have their nursing degree. I mean yeah it is your decision to decide if you want to help someone but at the same time if you don't have anything nice to say or in this particular thread if you don't want to give the answer why even bother? I know I might get roasted for this but in all honestly, I don't care. This website is a very pleasant place to find information but you people can be cruel.
  13. Hey, how have you been? I forgot to tell u that I called FAMU on Monday to ask questions that I already knew that wasn't going to get answered. But I tried, I guess we have to wait. They only answered one thing,I asked them " if you get accepted or rejected would we be able to tell from the envelope that we are going to receive" she said no. You know how when applying to Univeristy if you get in,you get a big envelope and if you get rejected you get a small regular envelope? she said we won't be able to tell.HMMMMM
  14. Alright just tell me the day and time and we'll meet up.But I haven't been calling the school I was thinking about calling them just to check on them. I don't know I'll try next week
  15. Lol thats so funny i only go to BBC i go there on MWF from 2- 2 50. lol Maybe we'll work something out.
