medical coder

I am a medical coder and I was thinking of becoming a LPN. Can some of the things I have learned from being a medical coder can those things go toward me becoming a LPN.

do it - it you become an RN with your coding experience you can name your price. the big hosiptals are in need of medical coders who know both sides. I am an surg tech & I am currenlty in an RN program, when I am done I am going to go & learn how to code. The big hosiptals are in such a need they said to my professor; "tell her she can name her price average 90-100 an hour coding." I have the OR training which is huge & that is what they are looking for. I plan on doing it for extra cash. Best of luck - go for it. :nurse:

How do you get into coding without experience, I am currently an Lvn, I just finished school about 5 months ago, I am unemployed, I am returning to school to bridge as an rn but I want to do coding also now part-time so I can be able to work in the office as an rn when I finish school
