Med-surg

Hello all,

I start my semester in about two weeks. This semester I begin med-surg along with my med-surg clinical. Has anyone who has taken med-surg have any tips?

My schedule is as follows:

- Med-surg (combined with the last half of fundamentals - I took the first half last semester)

- pharm

- patho

Thank you! :)

I would say for clinical brush up on your physical assessment skills. If you don't remember look up where to listen for lung sounds, bowel sounds, and where to listen for the heart. Also some websites have sample breath sounds you can listen to practice differentiating between like crackles and wheezing for example.

For lecture if if you already have access to the stalls is I would get a head start on the readings.
