Yes there are LOADS of available resources related to implementation and specifically implementing the "EMR"

One of the best resources available is THIS FORUM!

Have you used the search feature on this forum keying in such terms as: "EMR", "Implementation" and "Best Practice"??

I'd also suggest you start with the specific vendor product your organization is implementing - Whether it be Meditech, Epic, McKesson, Cerner, etc..... Each vendor has resources, Best Practices and groups dedicated specifically to implementing their EMR modules.

Next have you joined your local nursing informatics group to network with those who are implementing EMRs?

I'm trying to learn more about the meaningful use and have a general knowledge what it is and the requirements/criteria a hospital must follow. My question is there any available resources such as websites, books etc where i can learn more about implementing the EMR? The types of problems and road blocks a hospital faces while implementing the new system. What makes a implementation projects successful and what can cause problems? My main focus is to learn as much as i can so i can contribute in developing the standards in providing healthcare. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
