I have a resident admitted NSTEMI s/p PCI ostial LAD. Which do I code as the primary the NSTEMI or the cardiac cath (angioplasty) of LAD?

    Reason for SNF/Home Health admission is followup care of NSTEMI

    So:

    Primary: I21.4 NSTEMI

    Any other secondary dx: eg CAD

    Then Z98.61: Coronary angioplasty status

    Include if applies:

    z51.89 Aftercare for Physical Therapy

    Z70.01 Long term use of anticoagulant

    or Z79.82 Long Term/current ASA
