Math Classes

Starting the RN-BSN program in the fall. Can anyone that took College Algebra and/or Statistics through UoP tell me about your experience? The advisor emphasized to me that the pretty much keep it simple (dummy it down in my words) in the nursing program vs. a general class. I hope this is the case because Algebra is not my forte and I've tried many times. They also said their Statistics is more of a research-based class instead of using more mathematical equations like general classes. I really hope the advisor is right.

Thanks,

Nicole

I too would like to know about statistics. I need it for grad school but I don't need it be overly stressful! Has anyone out there taken stats at UOP??? Which class is specific to nursing students?

I am about to graduate with my BSN at UOP. Statistics was not that bad. My daughter took statistics at a community college and it was harder than my statistics class. It is a statistics for nurses class so it is geared towards nursing and research. I have never taken algebra (not even in high school) and had to take math 208 and math 209. I received an A- in the class.

Did you take the stats course HCS438? I am looking for the easiest stats class I can find. Is there much math involved? Is there a lot of group work? Thanks!
