Hi everyone,am new on this forum,I have been a nurse for just a year,so am a work in progress,I have been having issues with my unit manager and it's been going on for a while and she's also an Lpn for 40 years,so this morning after signing my mar,I realized a resident mar was missing,(we still document on paper) at my job,so I know he wasn't out to the hospital, and I redline and nothing was changed on his chart,so I knew the mar was probably missing somewhere else but I gave him his meds Prilosec and Tylenol after checking his charts and looking thru the physician orders, she came up this morning and said Its an emergency and I didn't tell the supervisor and I said I just found out now,I told u the manager and I am not out of the floor or building like I didn't say nothing,I intend to check all the charts to see if they re not misplaced somewhere before calling the supervisors bcos this is not the first time we have charts or Mars missing bcos we don't have a 3-11 nurse so it's just been different people from different agencies and I have 30 residents by the way,she wrote me up for giving the resident his meds without signing meanwhile i checked his chart and he still has doctors order, nothing changed, she's been bullying me of recent so I reported her to the administrator bcos we don't have a DON,was I wrong for giving him his medications without a MAR but with a physician order in place meanwhile the first day of the month, the nurse on my floor passed all meds without a mar and tar book bcos she didn't do recaps for the floor
