MANE nursing program advice

Updated:   Published

Hello, I am currently a student at Rasmussen college and am close to graduating with my LPN degree. I want to pursue with nursing school and want to get my BSN, but don't want to continue at Rasmussen as they are not accredited. I have been looking into the MANE nursing program, does anyone have any advice on the program or any other advice on good nursing schools around the twin cities area or any recommendations. Thanks!

I just graduated the MANE program through Anoka-Ramsey last spring. I thought the program was great. However, since it is a new program through Metro State for the BSN part, many of us are continuing on through Bemidji State or St. Scholastica because Metro State doesn't seem to know what they are doing. To answer your question, the MANE program is great but I haven't heard too much about the 2nd half of it because it is a new program still.

My cousin graduated through MANE at Century College Dec. 2015. She said she loved it and is currently enrolled in Bemidji State BSN program.

I'm currently in the MANE nursing program at Century and I love it. The instructors and curriculum are great.

Hello!

I am currently enrolled in the Normandale Mane program in my second semester of the nursing program and I absolutely am happy with my choice. The program is very rigorous and will keep you busy... not to mention it was quite competitive to even get in. As far as going on to earn a BSN at metro... I think I will continue with them only because the programs were really meant to continue from one to another. Other schools it is possible I would have to re-do credits, also I will be graduating in December of 2017.. So most other completion programs require you to have already passed the nclex, which would really set me a semester behind. My recommendation is to NOT go to rasmussen for your RN, because like you said they aren't accredited and your job outlook will be slim. I would also recommend when you get to the point of applying to apply to multiple MANE schools, some are more competitive than others just due to the amount of people they accept each semester.. For instance Normandale accepts 48 a semester whereas just by word of mouth I have heard Century accepts like 70 something and Anoka-Ramsey like a 100 and something?Anyways good luck!

Hello,

I'm thinking of transferring from another MANE school to Century. Can you tell me about the nursing program at Century? I know nursing school to is very busy, but I will like to know if the program very hard?

Thx.
