LVN TX

So i am a new lvn and i recieved my license info via texas bon adn was wondering why my license is only good for one year is that normal? Also it states that it is a compact license is that automatic in texas?

    I just got my license on 10/22. It's good until March and then I have to renew it.

    I also hold a single state and then one for the eNLC. My state upgraded to the compact one automatically so I'm assuming all compact states do this.
