LVN or RN

I am a LPN and I am going to be 100% honest here. GO for RN. I am doing it myself since Nursing is my chosen career, not just a "job". I want to learn more! There are so many paths open to Registered Nurses. If it's your long-term goal anyway, then just go ahead and do it. If not and you want to "test the waters", then LPN may be for you. It is a personal choice. What are your goals? Only you know your situation. Good luck and WELCOME to nursing!

I am just fixing to start school for nursing. I have 2 choices 1 is to become a LVN first at a college that is 15 miles from home then go to the other college that is 45 miles away and finish the RN part. Or just start with the RN and go for the whole thing. I am looking for the best choice. I am starting late I am 32 and married with 2 kids. So I would like to find out if any of the pros and cons on this. I want to be a RN but which is easier for the position I am in. Thanks, Goldieloxjd:confused:

im also going to lvn transiton program. iv been a lvn for 10 years. im glad i got the skills because of it, but if you can go to RN school go for it first. you have more oppurtunity then Lvn's do.
