Hello everyone! I am very excited to be starting my nursing adventure next week. I chose to start with the lvn program so that I can work while working towards my rn. My question is how do LVN-RN bridge programs work. I am in southern California and there are 3 schools near me that off the bridge program. Do you have to go complete all your prerequisites before applying to the bridge program or all the prerequisites incorporate into the bridge program. Will you finish the program with an AA? Are you less likely to be hired as an RN if your degree was obtained through a bridge program? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions!

I can't tell you if you have to take pre reqs before or during your program since I don't know what school you're attending. Yes, when you graduate from a bridge program you will receive an associates (Associates Degree in Nursing). I don't know any employers who won't hire a bridge program graduate.
