I am currently looking to pursue a career in nursing. I already have my BA in criminal justice and I am now looking at the best route to take in starting my nursing career. I am torn between whether I should do my prerequisites (take about a year) and then start applying to accelerated BSN programs and hope I get in on the first try, or if I should go to a 1 year LVN school which I could start immediately, get a job and be able to work while I complete the BSN.
I want to take the best route, but also the route that is going to get me working the fastest.
any thoughts?
