is it wise to get my lvn/rt for the sole purpose of getting my adn online ?

getting into rn program in southern california is next to impossible

    No, California does not accept excelsior grads. Just an FYI you might want to do some more research on the matter before jumping into something.

    For some reason I thought I saw CA in relations to your location.

    Here is the list of places you will have problems with. TX and NV currently have no problems with Excelsior. Some other states do and some impose restrictions so proceed with caution. No one is going to be able to answer for you whether it's worth it you have to look at your personal situation and see if it benefits you to utilize excelsior to get to your RN. Good Luck
