LSU CARE PROGRAM 2021

Hey y’all I just wanted to start a thread for those planning on applying to the CARE program for 2021. I know it’s far out, but we can start planning ahead. Looking forward to talking to every one ?

    I'm planning to apply! I graduated from LSU last year and decided for a career change. 2 prereqs left that I'm taking in Houston this Summer and fall!

    YAYYYYYY. I have to Microbiology again ? . I’m grateful I started out in nursing with my 1st degree but changed my major. I’m excited LOL

    Yeah I started off as bio so I only need 2 more classes which is nice! I’m nervous about not getting in cause people are saying it’s getting more and more competitive!

    If you don’t mind me asking, what were your stats for GPA? I have a 3.4 but am nervous that may be too low since it’s getting more and more competitive

    I was 3.7. 

    The thing with GPA is its mostly a minimum requirement. We definitely have folks in our class with 3.4 GPAs. They're trying to accommodate more and more CARE students every year to meet the nursing demand. We started with 68.
