LSU BSN program Spring 2013

Is anyone applying to the LSU Traditional BSN program for Spring 2013? I haven't applied yet but plan on doing so. I'm really nervous, I have gone to a couple different schools so I think that my cumulative GPA is around 3.13 but my nursing pre-requisite GPA is 3.75. I'm afraid that my cumulative isn't good enough to be accepted. I'm applying to Charity as well, but my first choice is LSU.

omg, are you serious?

@kp2012 Well that's pretty good, congrats! I am currently taking A&P and had planned on applying for Charity as a backup plan. I took the HESI before I took A&P, my overall score was an 83 (64 on the A&P) but I would like to take it again for Charity since I will have almost completed A&P. Problem is the test is $90 and finals are about to start so an answer from LSU would be PERFECT right now. If I'm not in, I would like to get working on Plan B ya know, and if I am in, I can scrap Plan B and put more focus into Plan A lol.

@kp2012 if you get accepted into LSU will you go there and defer charity or just go to charity since youve pretty much completed all the requirements for registration so far.. Whatever you choose why is that ? I'm in the same boat by the way.

I really think they we will get them early deecember!!

@Mie'sWay. I really am not sure yet. I'm eventually trying to go for Nurse Practitioner, so having a BSN will get me there faster. Also, doing the RN/BSN bridge with LSU would require me to return to Delgado yet again and take more classes, which is the last thing I want to do. If LSU accepts me I'm going to go there. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty frustrated with the lag in this admissions process though.

@kp2012 I agree. It's beginning to get frustrating .. What classes would you have to take at Delgado ?

Statistics and potentially Microbiology Lab

if you have to take statistics at delgado, take Amy buckel.. im in her statistics class right now. very Easy A

Hey guys im Jenna, i always planned on joining this sooner, but here i am now. I am so nervous about my letter, I cant believe I have not received anything yet. I'm freaking out. Good luck to everyone!

Welcome to the freak out club, Jenna. You're not alone!

I thought microbiology lab wasn't required @kp2012

Hey guys! I talked to the nursing advisor at LSU last Friday and she said they will start mailing letters out on the 26th, which is after Thanksgiving. I am also waiting for my letter . I am anxious too. But patient is what we can do now till then. Good luck to everyone!
