LPN to RN transition program available on "distance learning"

Published

If anybody out there can give me info on clepping, prerequisites, fast tracking, LPN to RN transition programs with credit for experience and so forth...basically ANY info, where to look, where to go on line, names of schools, web sites etc. Would be GREATLY appreciated!! I've been an LPN for 22 years, am presently doing large case mangement, insurance auths, precerts etc. for a PPO Co. but the bulk of my career was bedside nursing. Thanks for any and all info.

The only distance program that I know of that accepts LPNs to RN is Excelsior College Excelsior College . There is another if you live or work in NJ. There has been a lot of postings in the online/distance ed threads about this.

Proficiency exams are great but you must check with the college to see if they will accept them. The most well known is CLEP but there are others like Excelsior College Exams, and DANTES.

CLEP

Excelsior College and exams

DANTES

Good luck.
