Hi all,
Am currently an LPN in NC but will be moving to Augusta in June. I am trying to find out which schools have an LPN to RN program. I just found out that Augusta State has accepted the last class for this summer and then will no longer be offering LPN to RN, only to BSN.
Does anyone out know much about the online LPN to RN programs i see advertised through The College Network and other online programs. Are they accredited with the Board of Nursing?
Thanks in advance for any info!!!

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I had a college network representative visit with me here in California and all they have to offer in respect to LPN/LVN to RN is Excelsior and Indiana State. Both are online and Excelsior is not recognized in many states. Oh and "The College Network" is not actually a college.

The College Network is a publishing company. All they have to offer is some really expensive study material.
BTW, Excelsior is not online. It is a distance program, however. You test out of each course- there are some instructor-led online courses there, but the vast majority are test-outs.

Please be aware of the troubles with Excelsior and Georgia. Look into a different program as you will have many hours of receptorship in order to get your Ga license.
I agree with nitpik. I wouldn't recommend Excelsior as the best option for anyone living in GA at this time. Actually, I wouldn't recommend any distance program for those in GA, as the BON has not endorsed any at this time. You may want to contact the GA BON, and ask them directly if there are any options for you.
