Hello Everyone!

Has anyone here ever attended Broome Tioga Boces in Binghamton, Ny? I'm thinking about enrolling in their LPN program, instead of Allied, due to distance (I live in New Milford, Pa.) and length of program (10 months). This program begins in September, 2011, and runs into June 2012.

I've already taken my entrance testing at Allied Medical and Technical Institute in Scranton, Pa. This program will begin in October or November of 2010 and will run for about 16-18 months. Normally it would be 20 months long, but I have a year of pre-reqs in with Luzerne College. All of my required paperwork, fingerprinting, plus history and child clearances are complete with Allied. They said I am at the top of their list and my name has been high-lighted. I'll be getting a call soon to schedule my nursing test and for an interview with the nursing coordinator. The testing was suppose to be this month, but I have not received a phone call as of yet.

I'm just not sure which one to go for: Allied or Boces?

Either way, I'd be done in 2012

Opinions welcomed, and

Thank you!

Attend the LPN program with the cheapest tuition because, when all has been said and done, both schools will result in the exact same LPN license regardless of how much tuition you paid to get to that point.

I'm really leaning more towards BOCES in Binghamton, NY.

Their tuition is cheaper, program runs 10 months, 35 min. travel time-straight shot, and there's night/part-time classes available. The downfalls are that I am not assured admission in 2011, and I'll have to do a little leg work to get things started but I don't mind.
