A lot of schools near you don't offer LPN but do offer RN programs (just curious as to why you wouldn't consider going for your RN-- Macomb community college has an exceptional program and is the closest to you and would be at the least expensive with the in district rate).

I looked at the Michigan BON list of approved colleges granting LPN certificates. Oakland Community College (in waterford) offers a LPN certificate. Baker college (expensive tuition) in Auburn Hills offers LPN, Davenport in Warren offers LPN (RIDICULOUSLY expensive tuition), Mott CC in Flint (Big waitlist I believe), Oakland University in Rochester (bizarrely enough-- I thought they just had BSN programs), Schoolcraft community college in Livonia, and Saint Clair Community College in Port Huron.

A ton of schools closer to you offer RN programs. For a complete list of programs approved by the BON check http://www.michigan.gov/mdch/0,1607,7-132-27417_27529_27542-182977--,00.html

Hope that helps:loveya:
