This is my first time putting a question on this website. I've been really confused of what to do. Last month, I got accepted into the LPN program at a technical college here in Colorado. The program starts this coming January and will end on December 2016. I am currently serving in the air force reserves. Once I reach the required skill-level on my job there, I will be qualified to challenge the LPN/LVN board exam in New York. Looking about 5-6 months to reach that skill-level and challenge the board. I knew this information before I applied to the LPN program. I considered going to that program to get the training that was not given in the air force. But now, I am torn between going to that program or just challenge the board and work towards BSN for the meantime. I have 44 credit hours from a community college. All count towards the prerequisites for BSN. I only need A&P I and II, microbiology, and statistics to apply to the University I'm planning to attend. So, should I go for LPN school or should I challenge the board and work on completing those classes then go for BSN?
I appreciate you taking your time and I hope to get some insights. Thank you.
