Looking for a warmer change

I am currently an agency nurse in Wisconsin. I really like my employer and the contracts that I get around south eastern Wisconsin. I am looking for information on nursing in Florida. Like average salary, living expenses, housing situation, taxes, etc. I am also looking for information from any agency nurses that reside in Florida. Are you getting alot of assignments close to home? Any information would be great!

Thanks,

Jason, RN

FL is a massive state. It's drastically different all over. You need to narrow it down to get responses. Panhandle? Gulf Coast? Miami-area, Northeast FL, Orlando, etc. Or, tell us what you want. Great beaches, progressive/liberal/conservative neighborhood feel, high pay or don't care about pay, etc. and we can advise you on where to look.

Gulf coast area, Orlando area, Panhandle area conservative neighborhood feel. I make agency pay now and would be looking for something comparable.

Do you know any good neighborhoods in Miami, I recently got a job offer for Baptist health as a float nurse. And if anyone is a float nurse at Baptist or works there how do you like it?

For the Gulf Coast, you might want to try Naples, Venice, and Sarasota. Avoid Manatee, St. Pete and Tampa. Although you could work in Tampa and live elsewhere, since I hear TGH is a great hospital, and might be the highest paying you'll find. Ocala is a conservative area, but I don't know how the pay is. Orlando and the panhandle aren't my specialty. Happy hunting!

Amberraye which Baptist there are many different campuses in south Florida Kendall is a really good area if located in the south miami of Kendall campus as well as Malibu bay if in the homestead camous
