Does anyone know of an online nurse practitioner school that will allow you to take up to 9 credits of NP classes (maybe pharm, patho, or other common courses) without being accepted into their program?
Ideally I would like to go to Michigan State University or Davenport U but won't have the time for it for a couple years. I wouldn't mind taking a non clinical class per semester until I have the time available. MSU accepts 12 credit hours compatible classes of transfer into their program.
Any help would be appreciated

You sure can do it if you like it. Especially for-profits like Davenport who would just love to get your $$$.
There are few things to consider. For one, which course from which place to accept as transfer and which do not is 110% program dependent. They may reject their own courses read a couple years ago due to "necessary changes in curriculum". Second, graduate courses can have high value in terms of credits, and so you will be limited in only two or three courses total to cover these 12 or, more commonly, 9 credits. Third and important, the massive amount of new knowledge you get should be applied early or it will be forgotten soon.
You probably should make an appointment with advisor of the school of your choice and ask if they can device an individual studying plan for you or advise you about options. This way, there will be at least less risk that they will not accept their own recommendations and make you losing money. If you are self-motivated enough, you may buy used textbooks cheap and read them in your own time. I did it, and it was almost free and excellent preparation for grad level work.
That's a really good idea to buy old text books! Never thought of that! You have a good point about losing information with time.
Thank-you
