hello,
i am new to this forum so if there is a place where this question was answered please forgive me.
i am considering changing a career and getting a degree in nursing. i have a masters degree in unrelated field (journalism/warsaw university) that i earned in poland. i am curious if i could use any of the credits when signing up for classes here in us.
also i would like to hear a voice of reason if this is not a good idea. i love working with people, i don't mind working hard. i want to do something a little bit more meaningful then what i do now (food & beverage industry). also from what i understand you can make decent money working as a nurse. money is not the reason why i would like to peruse this career though. my questions:
*is it hard to find a job right after graduating school?
*would rn certification/program be enough to get a head start in this career? should i go for bn?
*also what kind of money can i expect making after graduating school?
*are there any good affordable programs in chicago or close suburbs?
*is my unrelated degree going to be of any help?
thanks a lot in advance.
