Looking for Phlebotomy Program in/or around Treasure Coast Florida

Published

I'm currently finishing up my pre-reqs for the nursing program that I will be applying to in the fall. However, in the meantime I'm looking for a way to transition over the medical field (to gain som experience) from the banking industry... in addition, I'm going to eventually have to quit my full time job and I've been trying to seek out any phlebotomy programs in my area to enroll in prior to acceptance into nursing school.

Does anyone have any recommendations for programs in the Treasure Coast area in the Florida or in Palm Beach FL? I'd be willing to make the trek down.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! :D

Thank you!!

Check Critical concepts. They have offices in Fl and offer many different certifications. I think I remember seeing one for phlebotomy.

Did you look into IRSC in Ft. Pierce? They offer the class but I'm not sure when it starts.

It's funny because I actually checked with them first and they offer a semester long program... I believe it starts in January next year. Upon completion you are qualified to get nationally certified (think this is the route I might take)... thank you for your response. :loveya:

Your welcome! Keep in mind if your on the treasure coast it's REALLY hard to get a phleb. job without experience. Good luck!

That's what I was worried about.... do you have any recommendations for certificate programs that would allow for quick employment like CNA or Patient Care Tech? I know a friend of mine was able to get a "Nursing Tech" job after she completed a couple semesters of clinicals at PBCC.

I was just looking for something that I could do now that would allow an easy transition once I do start my clinicals so that I can still have some money coming in...

I challenged the FL CNA exam. I took a week long prep class and then took the written and practical exam, and passed. Depending on the facility some will not accept this, they require you to have the class hours. Look into IRSC for the CNA class, or I think they may still offer the tech. program which covers CNA and phleb. I lucked out and scored a hospital tech. position, but I have my EMT cert. too.

I am looking for a phleobotmy program, or classes in Sacramento, Ca. I need something fast track that is only a couple months long or a month. I am currently waiting for to be enrolled in the nursing program. while waiting I need a back up plan. Please help.

I'm wondering about a phlebotomy program in Sacramento, CA also. I heard of NCE National Career Education. I don't know if they're legit though.
