Looking for a job in Seattle

Hi there,

I'm currently an RN in Nevada, and will be moving to Seattle, WA by the end of the year. I currently work in med-surg and will have 1.5 years of experience by the time I start applying for jobs in the Seattle area. I'm beginning to look at job postings now, but I'm getting discouraged as I see so many of them require a minimum of 2 years acute care experience. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

There's not a huge difference between one and a half and two years of experience. I would apply to those jobs anyway. Chances are they are getting so many applications from new grads that they will be thrilled to get someone with actual experience.
