Looking for a great FNP Online program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello All!

Just finished my BSN at (loved it!!!) and have finally decided to go for my nurse practitioner. Looking to end up with a DNP. Any recommendations? I am overwhelmed by my options, and Allnurses members lead me the right way for my BSN!

Need Online, and Preferably in FLA for in states tuition, but that is not a deal breaker at all!

Thanks in advance!

Karen

Try South University. Just be sure to check that they are CCNE accredited.

Also I would use the search function to find out schools that have previously accepted students. The problem is that some schools may not accept your competency based 3.0 GPA. I know that University of South Alabama will not accept you for FNP unless your GPA is a little higher, say 3.4 or 3.5. However, I have read on this site before about students being accepted to NP programs after attending WGU.

Sorry to keep adding, but I may as well give you the names of some that I've previously looked into (currently I'm a USA student). University of Maryville, University of Cincinatti, Walden University, Simmons, and Gerogetown. The last two are expensive, but high student satisfaction as far as I can tell.

Thanks for all your info! I am looking at USA as well, but if they won't take my 3.0, I will take them off my list
