Hi folks. Hope someone can help me pout with this one.
I am an LPN in Pennsylvania and have done alot of dialysis as a PCT, recently I have been hired on as an LPN at an in hospital chronic unit, we do all the hospital pt.'s and the acutes as well as all of the transients who are in for transplant eval's from out of town.
Any way. To the point.
I want to get certified. and as best I can see the only option I have is the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT).
I have googled but unless I am missing it. I just don't see it.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks for your time.
Much Peace, Billy

You might check out www.nncc-exam.org - it's the nephrology nursing certification commission. On their home page - there's a ccht link...it will give you everything you need (except your experience) to become certified as a CCHT. My best wishes in your pursuit of your certification.
Hope that helps...

I'm an LPN too, ANNA does not certify LPNs as Hemodialysis nurses, however I found another organization called BONENT(Board of Nephrology etc.) that does certify LPNs after 2 years experience as certified hemodialysis nurses.
The website is http://www.bonent.org.
