I am supposed to be getting my masters but i am not certain in which area i truly wish to work......so i was considering starting off small and working up to my masters (esp. considering that i haven't been in school for about 5 years ++)
Anyhow, back home we have certification programs.....and was hoping to find something similar here in the USA...but so far no luck.....does anyone know of any programs offered? I am thinking mostly of a CCU course or an ER Cert. program.....
Thanks :)

The AACN & the ENA both have certification exams - CCRN & CEN respectively. There are almost always review courses for these exams, all over the place. You can visit either website & get additional information.
Don't be too nervous about your master's though...I went back to school about 9 years after my BSN for my MSN...took me 5 years to get because I still had to work FT. Took 1-2 classes per semester...but those 1-2 classes kept me busy enough. I actually enjoyed my graduate classes much better than my undergraduate classes...probably because by that time I had a clue about what I was doing & the MSN augmented what I already knew.
