I am wondering if anyone can help me I am going for a job interview in a couple of weeks and have to give a 5 minute presentation on the role of an E grade. I was an E grade until 5 months ago until I decided to down grade to gain more experience I know what my role is as an e grade but am having difficulty putting into words what I mean and am also looking for different ideas on how to approach the subject. Any ideas, comments etc are all gratefully appreciated.
Thanks Jen:lol2:

Hi Jen,
5 minutes is not long to give a presentation so you need to be consise and to the point. Not sure what area you work in but have a look at your job description and concentrate on the points that are different from a D grade. I assume that as an E your shift managment duties will increase as will your responsibility for supervising other staff and students.
TIps for presentations:
Most presentations should consist of begining (intro) middle and end (Summary)
Dont have too much information on you OHP or slides use bullet points and talk around them and for 5 minutes dont have any more than 2-4 slides.
Concentrate on specifics, so at the begining acknowledge that the role is vast but that you want to concentrate on one aspect from the job description. that may be managment , training and education, supervision. As an E grade you are a current role model for junior staff, and future manager you may want to take it from the angle of your development into a managerial role.
If you want any other help PM me.
