i have been watching this thread for the last year. After I did my peds rotation I knew I wanted to be a peds nurse. I then decided to volunteer at the Children's Hosp in my area. I worked in a few different areas and I really enjoyed the PICU. I went back a few more times to make sure it wasn't just all the bright lights that I liked. I then came to AN and have been watching the threads here.
I am more than happy to say I was offered a new grad position in the PICU and I am over the moon. I've been reading the picu sticky's and trying to learn as much as I can. I really appreciate all you nurses do and I aspire to have the wealth of knowledge you have one day.
