Liability Insurance Question

I graduated with my ADN in December 2010 and have been having difficulty getting even an interview for a job. When I went to get my BLS renewal the instructor and I talked for quite a bit after I passed the test. She offered me a job to watch her mother, who has dementia and CHF, from 11pm to 7am while my CPR instructor got some much needed rest. I will be in the same house as the CPR instructor while I am watching her mother. I currently do not have liability insurance. Even though I will not be acting in the role of a nurse, but I also know that I am still accountable for doing what a pertinent nurse would do in any situation that may arise. So my question is..should I take the job, it will only be for a few days or so, when I do not have liability insurance?

can you afford the liability insurance? i would get it asap, regardless. there are discounts for new grads even. besides that if you are more like a 'sitter' and do not pass meds etc then it may not be something you have to worry about. others may have a different opinion though:redlight:

If you graduated in the past year, NSO offers a discount on the your premium for a policy instated within your first year of licensure. (I think it's about 50%)
