Lavc - nursing program -positive tb test

Hello , I have been acepted to enter the rn program at lavc and I am almost done with all my health requirements.

I tested positive for my tb test and just had an Xray done. I do not know the results for it but I am freaking Out!!! what if it abnormal ..would they reject me from the rn program?

What it is worst is that I already gave my resignation letter at work since I have to quit my job in order to go to school.

Should I postpone quitting my job ?

do you think lavc will still take me if my xray shows positive ? which I dont think it would but WHO KNOWS>> my doctor is taking forever to get back to me..well at least it seems forever to me ..it was done just last friday.

Thanks...

People can have positive skin tests without actually having the disease so don't panic, your chest xray will most likely be normal.

Some ppl not born in this country always test positive for tb; I used to work with a nurse who was born in Asia...she always tested positive they should still let you in the rn program...good luck

I always test positive and have to have an X-ray (which is always negative). I am from Europe and had a BCG vaccine as a child, which often gives false positives on PPD tests.
