Lanier Tech Applicants

Published

Is anyone applying to Lanier Tech either this Spring or Fall 2012? I'm looking into applying, wanted to know if there are any others that may have some input/advice about their program. I spoke with one of the admissions reps in the Nursing dept, she was extremely friendly and helpful. :)

Hello-- I am attending the program Spring 2012. What do you wanna know? I just found out that I got in on Tuesday and am ECSTATIC :)

Hey there!!!! Thanks so much for replying! Congrats on your acceptance!!! I know you're extremely excited!! How was the NLN? Is it anything like the TEAS? Which campus were you accepted to? How long did it take for you to hear back from them in regards to your acceptance? My apologies if it seems like I'm drilling you with questions LOL.

Thanks :)

The NLN was actually not that bad and reminded me of the SATs, somewhat. I never took the TEAS -- so I don't know how it compares :/. My NLN was in the 91 percentile and I applied to the Forsyth Campus. Only 16 were selected there- and at first..I was chosen as an alternate. :(. I took the NLN in August and found out beginning of Oct that I was an alternate-- and they told me to check back in the first week of Nov to see if anyone had denied their placement in the program. Luckily for me- someone did!

ok cool! so the application/admission process was pretty smooth and organized? The lady I spoke with was very nice and cordial when I called to ask additional questions. I'm applying to the Forsyth campus as well :)

Yes, it was very smooth and seemed organized. The ladies I have spoken with were always very nice. Are you going to apply for the Fall semester?

Yeah, I sure am! had I known about the program earlier, I would've applied earlier :-(. As far as GPA, do they typically accept 3.5 and up? I know alot of schools have HIGH STANDARDS when it comes to GPA.

It states on the website page for Practical Nursing that you must have a 2.5 & up for all previous college classes. So, I don't think that's too hard ... lol

oh...that's a piece of cake lol. No worries. I'm well above that:cool:
