Kinda bummed

I just found out that I won't be able to start school for a whole yr!! At the school I want to go to, classes start every april so I just missed my chance, UGH! It will take me two years to become an LPN =( I'm working at Sheetz right now only making 8.25 an hr because I went to school to be a dental assistant & that didn't work out..the dentists don't pay well & there aren't a lot of opportunities for DA's around here. Things just keep getting worse. Just need to vent!

Oh! I'm so sorry!! I know how you feel. I have been trying to become a nurse (RN) for a couple years, and things just keep going wrong! Finally I decided just to apply to an LPN program, and I applied JUST in time and got in (I start May 2nd!). It can feel terrible to wait. Maybe to ease your mind during this year you should volunteer at a hospital, or take classes at a community college that can help you bridge off to become an RN later? If anything, it'll keep the year from feeling like a waste of time. =) Good luck!

Thanks. Well there's actually another school that is 10 mins closer & their next class starts in September so if I can get everything done in time I will prob be able to go. I'm just worried about getting thru school financially cause I will only be able to work on the weekends.
