Keiser Students

Published

Hello! I'm looking into Keiser (Tampa, Lakeland or Ft. Lauderdale) for nursing program.

I need to take my pre-req classes and know that they are one class per month. Do they offer the gen classes in Dec? How about the core Are they one class per month or do they do them by semesters? Are the semesters back to back? Any info would be great

Usually the pre-req's are one class per month. The program (nursing core) at the Ft. Lauderdale program is four semesters long (16 weeks each semester). Our program started with Fundamentals and Pharm, 2nd semester Med Surg & Maternity, 3rd semester Med Surg 2/Psych & Peds, 4th semester Leadership & practicum. Clinicals are incorporated in each semester for about 10 out of the 16 weeks . Hope this helps :)

I am enrolled at Keiser in Lakeland, but I am doing my classes online. I am almost finished with my gen ed classes and hoping to get a seat in the fall nursing program. Right now with my gen ed classes, I only take one per month, but during the meeting that I had regarding their nursing program it would run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m., except when you are doing clinicals. I still have to take my TEAS before I can apply at all. I take them next month so hopefully, fingers crossed, I pass :-)

Good Luck!!

Akey77 although you do one class per month were you allowed to do more then one class at a time to speed up the process?
