Hello everyone! Is anyone applying for the KCC Spring 2023 ADN program? What are your stats like? Did you make any changes/improvements from previous application rounds? This will be my second attempt, I got waitlisted for Fall 2022. Same grades and TEAS score, except now I have some patient experience. Although it's not much, I hope the patient experience is enough to push my application into the acceptance pile this time. I really don't want to have to retake the TEAS again ?
+ Prereqs: 2 B's, rest A's
+ Co-reqs: all A's
+ TEAS: 87.3%
+ CNA course certified and 1-month phlebotomy patient work experience.

Good Luck ?I hope you got in. I am looking for a school for nursing and recently moved from Hawaii to the East coast. I had taken a few prerequisite at KCC and would like to apply to the nursing program still. How is the acceptance rate.

Thanks! I actually got in the Fall 2022 cohort! I was waitlisted and then I received an acceptance email 2.5 weeks before it started. At that point, I was getting my application ready for the next round because I figured I didn't get in. They must have hired another clinical professor or had someone drop at the last minute. The program is pretty dang competitive to get into. My original stats were what I mentioned above except no CNA patient experience. I got certified in preparation for my next application. They really weigh the TEAS score heavily. I think the scores in my cohort range from 85%-91%. Don't sweat if you don't have all straight A's. If you have a couple B's, retaking them isn't really worth the time or money imo. It's better to focus that energy onto the TEAS and try to get a score in the 86%-90% range. Also, get CNA certified and max those points out (it really helps with the material covered in the first semester of the program). Good luck!

Hi TYoshi, thank you for the information! I'm planning to apply for the KCC ADN 2023 Fall course, so far there are what I got:
+ Prereqs: All A's
+ Co-reqs: Haven't taken yet, going to take them soon
+ TEAS: 85.3%
+ CNA course certified
For TEAS, I only tried one time but it was very exhausted... I really don't want to take it again, but I may have to? You mentioned that you were accepted to the program already, could you please share with me more information on your other acceptance TEAS scores and overall how their applications look like? Thank you in advance!

Hi ya'll! Can anyone give me some tips or examples of what they wrote in their MyPlan Essay? I don't know why I'm thinking so hard on this part of the application! Thanks in advance!
