Juggling it all

I just want to know how some people manage school, work, friends, family? This is the first semester where everyday of the week I have either school, work, or clinical. I just started my second year, and everyday I come home totally overwhelmed. I had somewhat of a rough summer with some health and financial issues and school is taking me over my limit.

I know how you feel! I started my first semester last week, and i have class four days a week and work on the weekends. Tuesday is my only day of no class/work, but I spend it reading and studying and trying to stay caught up. I had three crying meltdowns last week! It is very overwhelming. The way I am handling it is by taking it one day at a time. Also, once you get into a routine, I think it will be better. Good luck!!

What score did you guys recieve on the point grid application?

I have no social life. I am lucky to get 1-2 dinners with my girlfriend per week. I am in an accelerated BSN program or what my Mental Health Nursing instructor refers as "nursing school on crack".

It is good to know I'm not the only one going crazy! I will try to take it one day at a time, that is good advice.

Just remember that this is totally temporary! The struggle will definitely be real and you may only be able to communicate by text message or or during a meal once or twice a week, but it will all be worth it in the end! Literally take everything one day at a time and remember to BREATHE!

good luck!
